How do I become a member of Southcars?

It's easy and it is FREE. Costs nothing. If you are a General class ham operator or higher, simply check in with us. Southcars is on the air everyday on 40 meters @ 7.251mhz. Our sessions are from 8AM to 10AM and from 12PM Noon to 2PM, all times are eastern.

When you check in tell the Net Control Station this is your first time to check in. He or she will ask you for your birthday (Month and Day) so we can wish you a Happy Birthday when you check in on your day. Then we need to know if the information on QRZ or the FCC data base is up to date and that's it.

We will assign you a Southcars membership number and enter you into our database. In a few days after you check in, check back on the web site and look for your number up by entering your call in the "Search Roster" block.
