Mark W4FJE--I was born and raised in Saint Augustine, Florida, obtained my first license at 15 in 1954 as WN4FJE. My first experience with nets was with the NHN (Novice Hurricane Net) which was run by K4EHW. When I upgraded I participated in the FPTN and TPTN on 75 meters and was net manager of the TPTN (3945 @ 1730 ET) for some time.
I was a charter member of the Brevard Repeater Association (BRA) and later, when we moved to Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay Repeater Association (CBRA). Was licensed as W3GMG while in Maryland.
I’ve been checking into Southcars for many years. A lot of that was via mobile from all over the south and as far north as New York. I retired from radio broadcast engineering in the early 90’s and then from A/V work and completely in 2004. Electronics and Ham Radio have been my life long hobby. I still enjoy working with audio and the computer.
Other than 7251, PSK 31, experimenting, keeping up with ham friends over the years round out my hobbies. Work around the house and work with my church take an equal amount of time.
My family is my wife of 45 years, Ann; daughter, Chris and son, Carter. One grandchild to date.
