This is Southcars, the South Coast Amateur Radio Service, operating on 7.251 MHz. Southcars is a directed service net whose purpose is to assist those seeking to contact other stations, or areas, to provide weather and travel information, when available, and to assist in emergencies. All contacts and information will be handled through the Net Control. Net operational procedure and general information may be found at www.southcars.com
Southcars is in operation with two sessions daily -- 8AM until 10AM and again from 12PM noon until 2PM -- all times are Eastern. Additionally, a digitally assisted voice net is conducted starting at 9AM and 1PM Eastern, on each and every Saturday.For more information go to: www.voip.southcars.com
