Jeff, W4GPL, was born in Buffalo, NY in 1981, but was raised in rural west central Florida. Jeff's not a Florida native, but "has a lot of sand in his shoes". Jeff has been a ham for 15 years, licensed at age 13 in 1993. He recently upgraded to Extra in 2007.

Jeff's interests include ham radio, Linux/open source, politics, NASCAR, football, and music -- specifically a rather unhealthy obsession with Pink Floyd.

Jeff currently resides near Orlando, FL and is a professional 'geek for hire', owning and operating a technology consulting firm specializing in telecommunications.

You can often find him rag chewing on 40 meters or operating a number of digital modes on most of the HF bands.
