Well, you may recall that in the previous issue of the SCARS Report, I indicated that I was going to address the issue that a lot of folks weren't receiving the SCARS Report via e-mail and that it apparently was being blocked by some providers due to their thinking that it's spam. I understand their position, and like you, hate spam with a "purple passion"! Further, I told you that I was going to be making a change in delivering future SCARS Report e-mailed issues which would almost guarantee your receiving them!
Well, I finally have set up the system for my business related e-mail and have made arrangements to follow through with my promise regarding the E-mailed version of The SCARS Report. I'm going to include the SCARS Report E-mails in my business account and it won't cost SCARS any fees!
While working on getting this I suddenly got an idea! The more I thought about it, the more excited I got! I got to thinking that I'm a lot like you, (Hey! We're ham operators, right??) and my idea falls right in line with our hobby that we love so much. Well, it became obvious to me that you, no doubt, would be excited about it, too!
Anyway, although I wasn't sure I'd be able to work it out, it now appears like it will come to fruition.
More about that at a later time though!
The company that I will be sending the SCARS Report through is EXTREMELY "anti-spamming" and requires that anyone receiving e-mail originating from their servers, truly wants to receive it, and in fact, their entire operation is based upon the premise that recipients of e-mail sent from their servers MUST be directed to folks who have elected to receive it. Therefore, I'm going to ask you to do me a favor. I'm setting this up with a couple of options.........
One: You can complete the short 3 line form, below this paragraph, to OPT in, for both the SCARS Report E-Mailed version Newsletter as well as an occasional e-mail from me relative to some exciting ham radio related ideas that I'm working on. You will also receive information regarding a blog where we can all "talk" about related subjects and possibly expand upon them. You will be able to read and check up on the current ham radio subjects, including SCARS, Weather, Emergency Operations and a host of other subjects. I will have some "start up subjects" for you , but you will also be able to request additional ones and comment on all. Believe me, I'm not going to hit you with a ton of e-mail! You will ALWAYS be provided with the opportunity to "opt out"----but I know you will be as excited about this as I am and will want to stay in touch!

No problem here, BUT this will mean you can't receive any of the occasional e-mail updates nor participate in our blog concerning ham radio related subjects, as well as other categories/subjects, plus you will be missing out on what I think (and feel sure you will agree!) to be some interesting and exciting upcoming launches.
